Alex Santangelo is a joint MBA/MPP degree candidate at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School.    He is currently interning part-time with Vatn Systems which designs and develops affordable autonomous underwater vehicles that can operate in swarms.  He previously served in the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer onboard a guided missile destroyer where he held various leadership roles ranging from antisubmarine warfare to antiterrorism.  He graduated from Brown University with a degree in Business Economics and played on the men’s varsity lacrosse team.  In his free time, he enjoys cooking new recipes for his fiancée and volunteering with Service to School to help mentor transitioning service-members.
