Alexandra Iliopoulou
University of California Berkeley | Aerospace Corporation - CSPS
Alexandra is a senior at the University of California, Berkeley studying international affairs and economics through the UC Berkeley & Sciences Po Paris Dual Degree program. Her interest in space security emerged from observing the humanitarian and military utility of space infrastructure during the Russo-Ukrainian War. Previously, she researched issues in space policy and defense technology as an intern for the American Foreign Policy Council.
At Berkeley, she is a policy coordinator for NewSpace@Berkeley, where she analyzes developments in US space posture. Her thesis on the weaponization of commercial information networks explores the developing role of private actors in international conflict. This summer, Alexandra is looking forward to meeting the rest of the MCSS cohort and interning for the Aerospace Corporation's Center for Space Policy and Strategy.
