Catherine Blumhagen is completing her final semester of her master's degree in Public Administration from American University, where she also earned her bachelor's degree in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government (CLEG).

She has completed several internships on Capitol Hill and in the space sector, including with the Office of former Congressman Matt Cartwright, the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, and with the Commercial Space Federation as a 2025 Brooke Owens Fellow. Catherine is excited to extend her current internship with Rocket Lab into the summer as a Matthew Isakowitz Commercial Space Scholar.

Catherine is passionate about building a sustainable space economy that will expand the possibilities of space exploration. In her free time, she enjoys classical singing, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
