Watch Cadence Payne, a graduate student at MIT in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She works on small satellite projects as an assistant engineer. The most rewarding part of her work is being able to influence the aerospace industry and make a contribution to science. Cadence says girls should consider a career in aerospace engineering because there are so many different roles to fill from creating software to building an actual spacecraft. Her advice to girls is don’t be afraid to challenge yourself. Believe that you can do anything.
