Forbes Selects Halen Mattison (MIFP 2021) for 2025 "30 Under 30" List
Halen Mattison, a 2021 Matthew Isakowitz Fellow, was selected by Forbes for its 2025 “30 Under 30” list in the category of “Manufacturing and Industry.”
Luke Neise and Halen Mattison, who met while completing master's degrees at Stanford University in aeronautics and mechanical engineering, cofounded General Galactic to convert air and waste CO2 into renewable energy using proprietary reactor technology. The Stanford spinout completed an $8 million seed round led by Harpoon Ventures and Refactor Capital in November 2024, bringing total funding to $10 million. Inspired to become what they call the "General Electric of space," General Galactic's Los Angeles pilot facility produces 2,000 liters of renewable fuel a day. Mattison, the company's CEO, and Neise, its CTO, want to use their experience in aerospace to decarbonize the natural gas industry.
Congratulations Halen!
